Giorgos Panoutsopoulos is an industrial pharmacist with over 25 years of experience in the pharmaceutical sector handling a broad corporate product portfolio, focusing on market access and launch activities. He holds a degree in Pharmacy and an MSc in Pharmacognosy and Chemistry of Natural Products from the University of Athens, where he worked for several years as a Research Scientist. He then joined the industry, starting a career in Regulatory Affairs and Pharacovigilance (QPPV) roles and as a corporate liaison with the Competent Authorities and the pharmaceutical sector in general. He is an active member of the Panhellenic Association of Pharmacists, a national delegate representing Greece and a Vice President at the European Industrial Pharmacists Group. Currently, is focusing on the developments regarding the reform of EU pharmaceutical legislation, the medicine shortages and their management from the industry’s point of view, the oncology patient’s access to affordable and innovative medicines and the implementation of FMD regulation (serialization) in Greece.
