Efthymia Sarantakou is an associate professor in the field of “spatial policies for tourism destinations, tourism infrastructure and businesses”. at the Department of Tourism Management of the University of West Attica. She also teaches in postgraduate programmes at Harokopeio University, the Hellenic Open University and the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. She holds a PhD in Spatial Planning of Tourism (NTUA). She studied Architecture and holds an MSc in Urban and Regional Planning (NTUA). Her main research and scientific interests include spatial tourism planning, destination planning and management, tourism governance, urban tourism and heritage tourism. She has been a member of the Ministry of Tourism, tourism and urban planning. Aegean Sea, the Ministry of Tourism and Tourism, the Ministry of Tourism, the Ministry of Tourism and the Ministry of Tourism. He was a member of the Ministry of Environment, the Greek National Tourism Organisation and the Ministry of Environment, Tourism and Tourism.
