Kai is Managing Director at Allianz Global Investors GmbH and is leading the function Asset/Life Business. This business segment is dealing the development of investment solutions and business models in the context of savings, wealth and retirement, including pension. Most of these concepts are based on the connection of asset management and life insurance components.
Beforehand, Kai was managing director of risklab, AllianzGI Global Advisory Function, leading the asset-life, pension and insurance advisory efforts of AllianzGI across the globe. In his former roles, he was Head of Products Europe and member of the European Executive Committee of AllianzGI. He began his career in Allianz as a product manager of Allianz Leben in 2003 and moved in 2006 to AllianzGI.
Kai holds a Ph.D in financial mathematics and a Diploma in Mathematics and Business Studies of the University in Bonn. Furthermore, he holds an Executive MBA of ESMT Berlin and he is a Financial Risk Manager of GARP. He is representative of AllianzGI in the German pension association aba
