
Dr. Emmanuel Rammos
President of the Hellenic Space Center (HSC)
Emmanuel Rammos has over 40 years of experience in industry, international organizations, and public service. He began his career at PHILIPS France, contributing to pioneering satellite TV work, including the invention of the world’s first commercial flat antennas.
He served for 31 years at the European Space Agency (ESA) in various engineering and management roles, overseeing multi-million-euro projects and liaising with EC committees and industry.
Emmanuel Rammos co-founded SkyfloX, an ESA spinoff developing innovative satellite constellations using commercial aircraft as platforms for smallsat payloads.
He played a key role in developing satellite internet and coordinated GNSS activities in Greece at an interministerial level, representing Greece in EU and OECD bodies.
Since March 2025, he has been President of the Hellenic Space Center.
Holder of 26 patents, Emmanuel has lectured on satellite technology and business at Oxford, Toulouse Aerospace Polytechnic, and the University of Athens.
He studied Physics and Telecommunications Electronics at the University of Athens and holds a Master’s and Ph.D. from Pierre et Marie Curie University in Paris.
