Asimina leads the energy strategy for BASS (Business Applications Space Solutions programme), driving business development and forging industry partnerships to scale space-enabled innovation in the energy sector. She oversees a portfolio of energy-focused initiatives and chairs the Energy Task Force – a global coalition of energy leaders working to build a green economy powered by space. With over 15 years of experience across business development, project management, and international cooperation, Asimina has worked in the public, private, academic, and non-profit sectors, including with the United Nations, NGOs, and national governments. She brings deep expertise in Earth observation and geospatial applications. Asimina is a Chartered Geographer and a Fellow of the Royal Geographical Society. She supports innovation through mentoring startups in EU accelerator programmes and regularly lectures on space and sustainability at leading universities, including Oxford and UCL.
