Paschalis Veskos
Head of Space Industry Projects, Softcom International
Paschalis is an Expert Software Engineer with 12 years working experience Research and Development, specialised in Machine Learning (ML) and Artificial Intelligence (AI). He joined Softcom International in 2015 as a senior big data software engineer and since 2017 he is responsible for the company’s team dedicated to projects in the space domain. He is in charge of the implementation of R&D activities, mainly ESA-funded projects in the areas of data analysis, data processing, AI & machine learning. He acts as a Bid Manager for Tenders and in activities as Project Manager, Technical Manager, Senior Software Engineer, and AI expert.
Paschalis has a strong scientific background with a PhD in Robotics and Artificial Intelligence from Imperial College London and has worked as a postdoctoral Research Associate at the Institute of Language and Speech Processing (ILSP/Athena Research Centre GR) in AI/NLP. He has broad technical experience over the entire R&D software lifecycle.
