Captain Nikolaos Vidalis
Department Head, Space, HCDI
Nikolaos Vidalis is the Head of Space and Weapon Systems at the HCDI, specializing in aerospace, defence, and advanced space technologies. He has led key defence programs and advised NATO as a mentor for DIANA and as the Nation’s Representative at the Science and Technology Organization, as well as the European Union through initiatives such as the EDF and EUDIS. With a strong background in aeronautical engineering, autonomous systems, and space systems, he also lectures at the Hellenic Air Force Academy on guided weapon technologies. Nikolaos supports global defence innovation efforts and has contributed to technology acceleration through programs such as the NSIN Foundry. He holds advanced defence-related degrees and certifications from institutions in Greece, France, and the United States. Committed to driving innovation, he is passionate about developing sustainable, high-impact aerospace and defence solutions that provide strategic advantage across evolving operational domains.
