
Dimitrios Katehakis

Dimitrios G. Katehakis is Head of the Center for eHealth Applications and Services (CeHA) at FORTH-ICS, a position he has held since 2010. He has led the design and deployment of more than 400 digital health projects within Greece’s National Health System and has broad experience in EU-funded initiatives, including IRHIS, PRECISEU, and VELES. He has served in key leadership roles, such as General Secretary of HL7 Hellas (2014–2024), General Secretary of the Hellenic Health Informatics Association (2018-2021), and since 2021 as Director of the Hellenic Digital Health Cluster. He has contributed to Greece’s National Board of eHealth Governance, the NHS Central Board of Health, and currently to the smartHEALTH European Digital Innovation Hub. Widely recognized for advancing digital transformation and building innovation ecosystems, he has authored numerous publications and is a PMP® and ITIL-certified professional, as well as a reviewer for leading journals and conferences worldwide.
