Dr Petros Kapasouris
General Manager, TIRESIAS
Dr. Petros Kapasouris is the General Manager of TIRESIAS, where he has served for over 30 years in senior roles including Management Consultant, Business Development Manager, Production Manager, and Head of Research & Development. He leads the company’s digital and automation transformation initiatives, driving innovation in the development of new products/services within the risk management domain. Additionally, he oversees the integration of emerging information processing trends to better support Greek businesses and the broader financial sector. He is responsible for designing and delivering value-added services in an evolving information landscape, leveraging new data sources, advanced credit scoring models, and sophisticated decision-support solutions to enhance strategic and operational outcomes.
He worked as a business consultant at Intrasoft, specializing in strategic information planning, business transformation, and process re-engineering. He also served as a Research & Development Engineer at Alphatech (currently part of British Aerospace) in aeronautics control systems theory, human performance modeling, and decision-support automation. Earlier in his career, he designed automatic control system methodologies for aircraft and helicopter engines at GE Aviation (USA) and worked at Omega Engineering (USA) as a temperature control systems engineer. He holds a Ph.D. and M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering (MIT) and a B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering (University of Connecticut).
