Mrs. Degaita is the Group Operational Risk Director at the National Bank of Greece, bringing a wealth of experience with 28 years in the field, including 19 years in the banking sector, specializing in Internal Control and Non-Financial Risk management.
She holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Glamorgan University of South Wales, UK, and an MBA from the Hellenic American University. Additionally, she is certified in CISA (ISACA), CIA, CRMA, COSO (IIA), and is a Certified Counter Fraud Trainer. Mrs. Degaita is also a Professional Member of the Institute of Operational Risk (IOR).
Her professional journey includes a nine-year tenure as a Senior Manager at Deloitte, where she provided services in Information Systems Control, Internal Audit, Operational Risk Management, and Corporate Security. Following this, she spent 13 years at Eurobank, serving two years as Group Corporate Security Executive and 11 years as Head of the Operational Risk Division of Greece.
Throughout her career, Mrs. Degaita has offered her expertise to numerous financial institutions and companies across Greece and Europe, delivering projects aimed at transforming risk and control frameworks, programs, methodologies, and organizational culture.
