
Christos N. Konstas
Journalist
With more than 35 years in financial journalism, Christos N. Konstas is one of the most experienced voices in Greek economic analysis.
He currently serves as Director of Communication and Public Affairs at the Hellenic Development Bank (HDB). In parallel, he writes a column for NewMoney.gr (Proto Thema Publications) and is Editorial Director at Ethos Media, whose titles include banks.com.gr, nplconfidential.com.gr and insuranceworld.gr, as well as the magazines HRIMA and Insurance World.
Born in Thessaloniki in 1961, he graduated from high school in Michigan, USA, as part of an exchange program; earned a degree in Political Science with “distinction” from Panteion University (1983); and completed three years of postgraduate studies in International Relations at Peking University (1986). He studied French at the French Institute of Athens, obtaining the Sorbonne II diploma. He specialized in money and capital markets through professional seminars in Athens, Frankfurt and New York.
He began his career in journalism in 1990 and has since worked with major print and broadcast media, including the newspapers Ependytis and Exousia and the broadcasters Planet 104.5, Star TV, Mega TV, Alpha TV and Alter TV.
In 2005 he received an award from the Athanasios V. Botsis Foundation for the Promotion of Journalism for economic and business reporting.
He speaks English, French and Chinese.
