Eleftherios Nikolaou holds a Master of Engineering Degree in Production Engineering and Management from the Technical University of Crete and a Master’s Degree in Business Administration – Total Quality Management with International Orientation from the University of Piraeus. In addition, he has attended courses and academic modules at Greek and international universities, including the Hellenic Open University, the National Technical University of Athens, the University of Piraeus, Blekinge Institute of Technology and Kristianstad University, broadening his academic background and strengthening his international academic perspective.
Furthermore, he holds numerous certifications and specialized qualifications in areas such as business administration, human resource management, financial analysis, internal auditing, quality management, artificial intelligence, entrepreneurship and project management, having attended programs and professional training courses delivered by Greek and international academic institutions, including the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, the University of Thessaly, Macquarie Graduate School of Management and Oregon State University. Among others, he has successfully completed the Comprehensive Training Program in Internal Audit and Internal Control Systems jointly delivered by the University of Thessaly and the Hellenic Institute of Internal Control Systems Professionals.
Since August 2025, he has served as Managing Director of the Institution for Occupational Retirement Provision of the Ministry of Finance (I.O.R.P.-MoF). At the same time, he serves as Management Consultant to the Hellenic Union of Institutions for Occupational Retirement Provision (H.U.I.O.R.P.) and as Managing Director of the Hellenic Financial Literacy Institute. His professional activity focuses on occupational pensions, financial education and organizational management, while he has participated in educational and research projects related to financial literacy and has published articles and studies on financial education, financial technology, occupational retirement provision and sustainable development.
