Dr. Thomas Kalamaris is a technology executive with over 20 years of experience in telecommunications and satellite communication services, specializing in mission-critical satellite infrastructure, space and ground engineering, and secure communications. As Technical Director at Hellas Sat, he led the design, procurement, launch, and operation of two GEO communication satellites (Hellas Sat 3 and 4) and directed satellite operations and service provisioning in compliance with ITU and national regulations. His expertise spans mission operations, ground segment, and enterprise satellite connectivity, with a consistent record of leading cross-border teams and aligning technology strategy with business objectives across the land, sea, and space domains. He holds a PhD and a BSc/MSc in Electrical & Computer Engineering from the National Technical University of Athens, and currently holds the position of Ground Segment and Mission Operations Architect at EFA GROUP.
