Silvia Ciccarelli
International Affairs Directorate, Italian Space Agency (ASI)
Silvia Ciccarelli is responsible for industrial internationalization initiatives and the global promotion of the Italian space industry at the Italian Space Agency (ASI), within the Directorate of International Affairs. She also serves as Italy’s Delegate to the ESA Program Board for Human Spaceflight, Microgravity and Exploration (PB-HME).
With extensive experience in the space sector and international cooperation, she represents ASI at several global forums, including the OECD Space Forum and the International Space Exploration Coordination Group (ISECG), contributing to strategic dialogue on space policy, industrial competitiveness and international partnerships.
Prior to joining ASI, she had experiences in industrial and industry-related environments, focusing on strategic policy, innovation and market development in the space sector at national and European level.
She holds a Ph.D. in Economic Geography and a Master degree with honors in Political Economy from Sapienza University of Rome. She was awarded a postdoctoral fellowship in the US and is presently an MBA candidate at Polytechnic of Milan.
