Marietta Doxopoulou began her career in international finance, holding treasury, banking and fund management roles in London and Athens with Merrill Lynch Asset Management, ABN AMRO Bank and Eurobank, grounded in an MPhil in Monetary Economics from Glasgow University and a BA in Economics from Boston College. She went on to build a long and distinguished career in corporate management spanning over two decades, holding CEO and General Manager positions across retail, logistics, healthcare, chemicals, and financial services — including Owner/CEO of Sock Shop Greece, General Manager of INKAT SA (Kiosky’s), Regional Director for MoneyGram International across Greece, Cyprus and the Balkans, General Manager of Diakinisis SA, CEO of Bioaxis Healthcare, ,consistently delivering successful business turnarounds, operational restructuring, commercial growth, and Board-level governance. For the past seven years, she has channelled this financial and operational expertise into sustainability and climate risk advisory, serving as Partner for ESG & Sustainability at Verallis SA, where she leads the design and execution of ESG strategies, CSRD/ESRS and GRI-aligned reporting frameworks, and climate risk assessment and management for corporate and institutional clients — including evaluating physical and transition climate risks, integrating climate scenario analysis into corporate strategy, and guiding clients through evolving EU regulatory requirements.
