Greek Space Tech forum 2024 - Report
The Greek Space Tech Forum 2024, the first conference for the Greek space industry, was a great success and widely attended.
The #gstf24 was organized by ethosEVENTS in co-organization with the Hellenic Association of Space Industry (ΕΒΙΔΙΤΕ) & the Hellenic Space Technologies and Applications Cluster (si-Cluster), a corallia initiative, on Thursday 21 March 2024, at the Divani Caravel Hotel. Participation was possible by physical presence and online from the LiveOn Expo Complex, the innovative 3D exhibition and conference centre of LiveOn, the Digital Platform for Business Communication and Events.
The Greek Space Tech Forum aimed to provide a fertile ground for cooperation and knowledge exchange between experts from the domestic and international space industry and new entrepreneurs entering the space industry, as well as to promote research & development in the field of space technology.
More than 40 speakers, through 8 thematic sessions, developed their views on the Space Market Space 4.0 or otherwise the emerging “New Space”. Among others, the national strategy in the Space Economy was discussed, but also the “next day” after the completion of the competition for the National Small Satellite Programme, which attracted 8 candidates.
In the framework of the conference, and before the official opening of the event, representatives of the Greek space ecosystem had the opportunity, in a separate workshop, to talk with the Minister of Digital Governance, Dimitris Papastergiou, and the Secretary General of Telecommunications and Post, Konstantinos Karantzalos.
