Tassos Vamvakidis
Commercial Manager of Piraeus Container Terminal S.A (PCT)
Tassos Vamvakidis was appointed Commercial Manager of Piraeus Container Terminal S.A, in 2009.
With extensive experience in the field of Shipping Agency and transport, he has been active in this field since the 70s.
The arrival of COSCO Shipping finds him General Manager of the Balkan & Black Sea Company Hellas, which represented in Greece the Bulgarian Company NAVIGATION MARITIME BULGARE and he decides to join the COSCO group.
From 2000 to 2009 he was an elected member of the Board of the International Maritime Union, which represents the Shipping Agents of major Shipping Line Companies, while from 2003 he held the position of Vice-President dealing with, among other things, issues related to his container terminal of the port of Piraeus.
He is a member of the Board of the Piraeus Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Board of Directors of ILME (Institute of Logistics Management) while he has also been awarded as an Ambassador of the Silk Road Friendship in Greece.
