Katerina Koutsogianni
President, Panhellenic Federation of Patients Parents, Caregivers and Friends of Children with Rheumatic Diseases Associations “ReuMazein”, President, Greek Patient Association & EUPATI Fellow
Katerina Koutsogianni was born in Heraklion, Crete, where she still lives today. In 2OO3, having a lot of experience from the problems she faced as a patient with rheumatoid arthritis in collaboration with other patients with rheumatic diseases, they founded the Arthritis Foundation of Crete where today she is the Honorary President. She actively participates in the field of patients’ organizations with rheumatic diseases both in Greece and abroad, enriching her experience by participating in international conferences and seminars. Aiming at the unified expression of people with rheumatic diseases in Greece in 2017, the Panhellenic Federation of Patients Parents, Caregivers and Friends of Children with Rheumatic Diseases Associations “ReuMazein” was established where she was also elected as the President. Since 2018 he has been an Eupati fellow having completed 14 months of intense training at the European Patients Academy. In November 2019, after many years of effort for the unified expression of all people with chronic diseases, the Greek Patient Association was founded and she was elected as the first President.
