Nikos Milapidis

Nikos Milapidis was born in Thessaloniki in 1983. He graduated in 2001 from the Experimental School of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. Right afterwards, he was admitted to the School of Law of Aristotle University and got his BA in 2005. After graduation, Nikos attended some postgraduate classes in Law and Economics, an MA program in Utrecht University, Netherlands (2006). He has a master’s degree (MA) in public law and political sciences from the School of Law, Aristotle University (2009). He has pursued and got an MBA in Business Administration from the Alba Graduate Business School in Athens (2019).
Nikos has been practicing law since 2007 and has worked as a Public & Business Policy Strategist in parliamentary and local government posts. He has plenty of experience in legislative works both in Greek but also in European posts and has headed the coordination of team projects resulting in major state reforms. He has served as an Office Director of the Greek Minister of Rural Development & Food, Mr Tsaftaris, and was appointed Greek Representative in Brussels, during the EE Greek Presidency (2012-2014). For the period 2015-2019, he was Director of the Members of Parliament of the political party “To Potami”. In 2020, he served as a consultant for the Head of Greek State, Ms Sakellaropoulou. For three years (2020-2023), he had been Office Director of the Deputy Minister of Labour and Social Affairs Mr Tsakloglou.
In July 2023, he was appointed Secretary General of Labour and Social Affairs of the Greek Government.
