Nikos Tsokanas

Nikos holds a Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Sciences from the University of Brighton, UK, and a Master’s degree in Bioinformatics from the University of Exeter, UK. He also holds a Master’s degree in Business Administration from the Hellenic Open University and is Black Belt Certified in Lean Six Sigma approach. Nikos has been working in the Pharma Industry since 2001 starting his career from GlaxoSmithKline (R&D) in the UK working in various positions as QA Scientist (Production Site), Scientist (R&D in Medical Genetics Research) and Proteomics Analyst Scientist (R&D in Medical Genetics Research). He later moved to Clinical Development working as a Clinical Research Programmer for Phase I, II and III studies in Roche Ltd, UK. He moved to Greece in 2008 where he continued to work in various positions in the Pharma Industry as Pharmacovigilance Manager (ALAPIS Ltd) and Quality & Pharmacovigilance Manager (Teva Ltd). For the last 9 years Nikos worked for Bayer Hellas initially responsible for Medical Governance and later developed into the Medical Governance and Excellence Cluster Head for Greece, Cyprus, Bulgaria, Romania, Moldova and Ukraine. After becoming the Medical Digital Lead for EMEA, Nikos moved to a freelancing role in May 2024 as a Consultant for Pharmaceutical services. He is an active member of Research Quality Association in the UK since 2013, Vice President for Hellenic Association of Pharmaceutical Medicine (EL.E.F.I.) and Treasurer for The International Federation of Associations of Pharmaceutical Physicians and Pharmaceutical Medicine (IFAPP). He is the author and co-author of various scientific articles.
