Prof. Dr. Ioannis A. Daglis is Professor and Head of the Space Physics Group at the University of Athens, and President of the Hellenic Space Center. His expertise pertains to space physics and space applications, with an emphasis on solar-terrestrial coupling and space weather.
He has been a Full Member of the International Academy of Astronautics since 2011; Editor-in-Chief of Annales Geophysicae since 2014; Editor of Nature – Scientific Reports since 2022.
He served as a Member of ESA’s advisory Solar System Working Group for five years (2005-2010), and as panel member for NASA, NSF, the Academy of Finland, the Swiss National Science Foundation, the European Commission, and other funding agencies. He has been a co-investigator of three NASA space missions and of two ESA space missions.
