Vana Giavi
Managing Director, TOTALVIEW
Vana Giavi is the Managing Director at TOTALVIEW, Athens, Greece.
She is a Mineral Resources Engineer with MSc in Remote Sensing. In her more than 30 years of experience, she has managed many EO projects.
A key milestone in her career was her tenure at Space Imaging Europe in Athens, Greece, where she was trained by Space Imaging Inc. as a Production Specialist, and was subsequently appointed Production Manager at the IKONOS (first VHR commercial satellite) Athens Ground Station.
Before establishing TotalView, she was Geoinformatics Division Director at Space Consulting, Athens, Greece where she successfully led several major projects for the Greek Government. At Space Consulting, she was Technical Manager for the MUSIS project, an international program including France, Italy Belgium, Germany, Greece, and Spain, aimed at allowing the six nations to share imagery from various military satellites through a common, generic User Ground Segment (UGS).
In 2011, she founded TotalView, where she continues to serve as Managing Director. The company has established partnerships with nearly all major Earth observation satellite operators and holds contracts with governmental authorities (both in Greece and internationally), as well as private and public sector organizations, providing Earth Observation products and services alongside Ground Station installation solutions.
