Despoina Moschona
Actuarial Manager at EY Greece
Despoina Moschona was born on the small but picturesque island of Cyclades; Ios and moved to Athens to study Actuarial Science and Statistics at the University of Piraeus. Her passion for the actuarial field prompted her to obtain a master’s degree in Actuarial Science and Risk Management, and was later fully certified by the Hellenic Actuarial Society. Despina Moschona has many years of working experience in insurance industry -mainly non-life, as she has worked as an Actuary in major insurance companies of Greece.
In recent years she has been a member of the successful team of actuarial consultants of EY and through the role of the Actuarial Manager she has achieved significant achievements for both herself and her clients. Also, it is worth noting that she has been distinguished as IFRS 17 Expert, thanks to her intensive involvement in global IFRS 17 implementation projects. Finally, her goal is through the innovative services provided by the EY team, to reframe the future of the insurance companies using new tools and innovative problem solving methods.
