Orestes Vlismas

Orestes Vlismas is Assistant Professor of Accounting in the Department of Accounting and Finance, Athens University of Economics and Business. He has participated in various European Union and national funded research projects, while his doctoral studies have been funded by Onassis Foundation. He has extensive experience in teaching cost accounting, accounting information systems and financial accounting at undergraduate, postgraduate and professional level. His research interests focus in the fields of intellectual capital and management accounting, and the relation of asymmetric cost behavior, intellectual capital and strategy with earnings quality, operating performance and financial health. This research work has been presented in several international conferences and published in ranked international journals such as: International Journal of Accounting, Auditing and Taxation, European Accounting Review, Management Accounting Research, Journal of Intellectual Capital, Applied Economics. He has published several professional journal articles.
