John T. Koutsikos, MD, PhD
Nuclear Medicine physician, Director of the Diagnostic and Therapeutic Center of Nuclear Medicine, Henry Dunant Hospital, Athens, Greece & President of the Hellenic Society of Nuclear Medicine & Molecular Imaging
Dr. John Koutsikos was born in 1971 in Arta, Greece. He completed his medical studies at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki in 1996, graduating from the Hellenic Military Academy of Combat Support Officers as a second lieutenant. He received his Nuclear Medicine Specialization in 2004 and his PhD thesis in National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, in 2008. During his post-graduate training he acquired expertise in Therapeutics, Neurology and PET/CT. He is the Director of the Diagnostic and Therapeutic Center of Nuclear Medicine at Henry Dunant Hospital. Dr. Koutsikos has an extensive range of national and international teaching activities, while he is reviewer in several scientific journals.
Since 2019 he is the President of the Hellenic Society of Nuclear Medicine & Molecular Imaging. His main goal from this position is the extroversion of Nuclear Medicine Specialty, while his vision is to promote the hybrid imaging (both SPECT/CT and PET/CT) and theranostics.
