Mr. Bis is the Vice Chairman and Managing Director of Intrum Investments Greece, responsible for Intrum Group’s NPL portfolio and other
investments in the Greek market. He is considered as one of the pioneers for the development of the NPL secondary market in Greece as from 2013 he worked as Managing Director for Kaican and the Cepal Group, partnering with international investors (Baupost, Centerbridge) on NPL portfolio acquisitions as well as the creation of two distinct regulated debt servicing platforms: Credit M and Cepal, the first licensed debt-servicer in the country. In early 2019 Mr. Bis joined Intrum and was one of the lead negotiators for the conclusion of Intrum’s landmark transaction with Piraeus Bank, creating the largest servicer in Greece: Intrum Hellas. Further to said transaction with Piraeus, Intrum has now invested over half a billion Euros in Greece, including the acquisition of 4 NPL portfolios amounting to over 10 billion Euros in total claims, as well as investment participations in HAPS securitization transactions. He has more than 25 years of experience in banking and financial services and prior to his more recent career in NPLs he held local and international senior leadership roles for multinationals, such as: Citibank, First Data, Eurobank and Western Union. Mr Bis. has lived, studied and worked abroad and holds an MBA in Finance and a BS in Management.
