Giota Kotsekidou
Corporate & Regulatory Affairs Director, AstraZeneca Greece
Giota Kotsekidou was born in Athens and is a graduate of the Department of Chemistry at the University of Ioannina. She has extensive experience in senior management positions in the pharmaceutical sector.
Her career in the pharmaceutical industry began in 1990, during which she took on roles of increasing responsibility in sales, marketing, and senior management positions across different therapeutic categories in both the hospital and private sectors.
In 2014, she joined the Senior Leadership Team of AstraZeneca as a BU Director of Oncology, contributing to the emergence of oncology as one of the company’s main therapeutic categories. In March 2017, she assumed the position of External Affairs Director, overseeing the Market Access, Corporate Affairs, and Regulatory teams. Since July 2024, she has held the position of Corporate & Regulatory Affairs Director for AstraZeneca Greece. Through her expanded role, she actively participates in formulating strategies that ensure timely patient access to innovative therapies in a resilient and sustainable healthcare system. Additionally, she promotes corporate communication and strengthens relationships with regulatory authorities, aiming to continuously improve patients’ quality of life.
