
Alexander Sarrigeorgiou

Alexander Sarrigeorgiou is Chairman & Chief Executive Officer of the Eurolife FFH Insurance Group, a Fairfax Company.
He is Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Hellenic Association of Insurance Companies, Vice President of Insurance Europe, member of the Advisory Board of Directors of Α.Μ. Nomikos Shipping Transworld Maritime Agencies S.A. and member of the Board of Grivalia Hospitality S.A.
He also serves as a member of the Executive Committee of the Foundation for Economic & Industrial Research (IOBE), member of the General Council of Hellenic Federation for Enterprises (SEV), Chairman of the Hellenic Advisory Board of the South East European Studies, University of Oxford and Vice President of the Wharton Club of Greece.
In the past he has worked for the Allianz Group in New York and in Athens; he started the Allianz Mutual Fund Management Company in 1992 and was CEO of the Allianz Group in Greece from 1999 to 2004.
Amongst other Boards, he has served on the Board of S&B Industrial Minerals Holdings, on the Board of the Greek Capital Markets Commission (Financial Markets Regulator), on the Executive Board of the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania for E.M.E.A as well as the Hellenic Institute for Insurance Studies.
Mr. Sarrigeorgiou holds an MBA in Finance from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and an MSc and BSc in Civil Engineering, from Columbia University. He also holds the title of Honorary Doctor of the Department of Business Administration of the School of Economics, Business & International Studies of the University of Piraeus.
