Avgi Oikonomidou
Senior Advisor, Tax, Investments & Market Operation Division, SEV
Avgi Oikonomidou is a Senior Advisor at the Tax, Investments & Market Operation Division of SEV. She is responsible for developing policy positions and representing the business community on issues related to corporate governance, anti-corruption, quality infrastructure, market surveillance and public procurement.
She represents SEV on the Board of Directors of the Hellenic Accreditation System (ESYD) and actively participates in three BusinessEurope Working Groups: Free Movement of Goods, Public Procurement and Better Regulation. She has also served as a member of the Board of Directors of the Hellenic Quality Infrastructure System (ESYP), a member of the National Accreditation Council as SEV’s representative, and as Vice President of the Association of Compliance Officers in Greece (SEKASE).
Previously, she worked as a competition expert for the OECD, as part of its Competition Assessment Project for Greece. She also has more than 15 years of experience in economic analysis and sectoral studies.
She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from the Athens University of Economics and Business (AUEB) and a Master’s degree in International Business and Economic Development from the University of Reading.
