Chara Anastasiou is a Senior Manager in the Sustainability & Governance Services department at Grant Thornton Greece, with over a decade of experience in sustainable development and environmental and operational risk management. Her professional journey started in the aviation sector, where she developed a strong foundation in Safety Risk Management and Environmental Risk Management — from hazard identification and incident investigation to the implementation of Safety and Environmental Management Systems (ISO 45001, ISO 14001). Today, she leads sustainable development projects, with comprehensive experience in sustainability reporting and ESG strategy. Since 2023, she has developed expertise in preparing Sustainability Reports and Statements and providing external assurance in accordance with the CSRD and EFRAG ESRS, guiding organizations from the initial double materiality assessment through to full regulatory compliance. Her experience also extends to ESG Due Diligence, carbon footprint calculation, and climate resilience studies, helping organizations translate sustainability requirements into meaningful improvements in ESG performance.
