Dionysios-Charalambos Kalamatianos,
Member of Parliament for Ilia and Secretary of the SYRIZA-Progressive Alliance Parliamentary Group
Dionysios-Charalambos Kalamatianos was born and raised in Pyrgos, Ilia. He is a graduate of the Law School of the National University of Greece, the Philosophy School of the University of Ioannina and holds a master’s degree in European Studies from the Athens University of Economics and Business. Since 2019, he has been elected Member of Parliament for Ilia with SYRIZA-PS, actively participating in important parliamentary committees. He has served as Deputy Head of Sector for Citizen Protection and since 2024 he has been Head of Sector for Education, while in the same year he also took over as Secretary of the Parliamentary Group. He also participates in international and national parliamentary processes, such as in the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe. He is a member of the Central Committee of SYRIZA-PS and has served as Secretary General at the Ministry of Shipping and as Governor of IKA-ETAM. Since 2003 he has been working as a lawyer specializing in labor and social security law. He is married and the father of two children.
