Dr. Dimitrios Patsos
President, (ISC)2 Hellenic Chapter & IT GRC Director, SYNTAX IT Group
Dr. Dimitrios Patsos has 20 years of experience in risk management and information security, having managed multiple large-scale projects in more than 30 EMEA countries. He is the President of the (ISC)2 Hellenic Chapter, supporting information security professionals throughout their careers.
He’s currently the Director of IT Governance, Risk and Compliance Unit at Syntax IT Group, while he has also served as the CTO Cyber Security at ADACOM S.A., as the Information Security Manager at Space Hellas, and as a Researcher at the University of Piraeus.
He holds a Ph.D. in Information Security from the University of Piraeus, an M.Sc. from Royal Holloway University of London, a B.Sc. from the Athens University of Economics and Business, and multiple professional certifications (such as the CISSP, CISM, CDPSE, CCSK, and others).
Finally, he is a member of the (ISC)2, ISACA, the Cloud Security Alliance, the Electronic Frontier Foundation and Homo Digitalis.
