Dr. Dimitris Agiakatsikas

CEO and Co-founder of SolidKosmos S.A.

Every critical system runs on chips that can fail silently, and a single fault can compromise reliability and safety. SolidKosmos makes those faults visible during verification, before they strike in the field.

Dr Dimitris Agiakatsikas is the CEO and co-founder of SolidKosmos, the first spin-off startup of the University of Piraeus and an ESA BIC Greece incubatee. SolidKosmos builds EDA tools that use FPGA-in-the-loop technology to emulate faults on real hardware and verify the reliability of critical computing systems – from simple microcontrollers to complex AI accelerators in space, datacentres and defence. Dimitris holds a PhD in computer engineering from UNSW Sydney, brings over 15 years of experience (Xilinx Research Labs, Singapore; Space Applications Services, Belgium; University of Piraeus Research Centre; National Observatory of Athens), and lectures on MSc courses in SW/HW co-design and reliability at the University of Piraeus. The startup recently raised €300,000 from Corallia Ventures, which will accelerate its entry into the multi-billion-dollar EDA market and its support for the AMD Versal FPGAs.
