Dr. Dionisios Panagiotaras is an Associate Professor at the Department of Environment, Ionian University. He has a successful academic career in the field of environmental sciences. He is among the 6.86% of a total of 30 million of his fellow professors and researchers from all over the world. He has served as President of the Department of Environment, President of the Ionian University Professors’ Association, President of the Local Management Committee of the Management Unit of the Kotychio-Strofylia Wetlands National Park and Protected Areas (PA) of Western Peloponnese, member of the General Assembly of the Hellenic Foundation for Research & Innovation, member of the Management Committee of 4 European Union Actions for Cooperation in Science and Technology. He has written articles in international scientific journals, chapters in books in English and has presented the results of his research at conferences in Greece and abroad. His book entitled “Geochemistry Earth’s System Processes” is one of the recommended books in libraries of important universities, such as Oxford University, Cambridge University, Harvard (USA), Princeton (USA), Pennsylvania State University, Imperial College London, Peking University, China, etc.
