Dr. Jorge-A. Sanchez-P.
Director of ESA BIC Greece and Chairman of the si-Cluster
Jorge-A. has played a pivotal role in shaping the Research and Innovation ecosystem in Greece and Europe. His extensive work has supported over 500 innovative enterprises, from startups to large corporations, both in Greece and globally, with a particular focus on fostering more than 300 new startups, directly benefiting over 10,000 individuals and organizations, including entrepreneurs, SMEs, and students. Each year, he reviews around 300 business plans from entrepreneurs, startups, and scaleups seeking funding and guidance.
He holds Dipl.-Ing. and Dr.-Ing. degrees in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA), a Master Certification in Professional Program & Project Management from Stevens Institute of Technology and completed postdoctoral research at Bell Laboratories in the US and the Netherlands. He is a co-founder of Corallia (corallia.org), Corallia Ventures (coralliaventures.vc) and JNP (jnp.gr). Currently, he serves as the Director of the ESA Business Incubation Center Greece (esa-bic.gr), the Chairperson of the Board of the Space Technologies and Applications Cluster (si-Cluster.gr), the Director of the Start A Business Programme (startab.gr), and member of the Steering Board of the egg Accelerator (theegg.gr). Additionally, he is a founding member of the mi-Cluster and gi-Cluster, and the organizer of numerous space events and forums.
