Dr Loukas Georgalas
Head of the Directorate of Water Services Planning and Management at the Hellenic Ministry of Environment and Energy
Head of the Directorate of Water Services Planning and Management at the Hellenic Ministry of Environment and Energy. He is a geologist from the University of Patras and holds a PhD in Hydrogeology from the School of Mining and Metallurgical Engineering at the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA). Previously served as Director General for Mineral Raw Materials at the same Ministry. Has been actively involved in research and drilling programs in the fields of geothermal energy and hydrogeology, also possesses extensive experience in water resources management. Academic and professional work includes a wide range of technical studies, peer-reviewed articles, and policy proposals.
