Dr. Nomikos holds a Ph.D. in Information Technology and has an extensive 35+ years experience in the I.T. sector exclusively within the maritime industry. Amongst several other positions, he had been I.T. Manager at Stelmar Tankers, founder of the first online chartering service, and Deputy Managing Director at the Danaos Maritime Software Group. He has also been one of the founders and the first President of Ammitec, the Association of I.C.T. Managers of the Shipping companies. Lately Dr. Nomikos has acquired specialization in the development and implementation of Agentic A.I. technologies in the maritime industry. He consults with Shipping companies on which manual processes to automate using Agentic A.I. systems, and he oversees the development and the implementation of the Agents, taking into account all the necessary prerequisites related to Governance, Business Process Reengineering, Cybersecurity measures, and everything else necessary for the Shipping companies to implement A.I. systems in a structured and secure manner.
