George Karanikas
President of the Hellenic Confederation of Commerce and Entrepreneurship (ESEE)
George Karanikas was born in Edessa, Greece in 1956. He studied Business Administration and Marketing.
In 2000 he was elected President of Edessa Traders’ Association and President of the Federation of Traders’ Associations of Central and Western Macedonia.
In 2006 he assumed the position of Vice President of ESEE and from 2009 to 2018 he served as Secretary General of the Confederation.
Since November 2018 he has been President of ESEE.
He is acting member of the General Council of Bank of Greece. Additionally, he has served as Vice-President of the Greek Economic and Social Council (ESC) and Vice-President of the Public Employment Service (DYPA, previously OAED).
