George Maronidis
Board Member, Hellenic Logistics Association, Founder & Managing Partner “Maronidis & Associates Law Firm”
George Maronidis is a founding partner of “Maronidis & Associates Law Firm” in 1996 and he is also the managing partner, admitted to practice before the Supreme Court of Greece.
George studied law at the Law School of the Democritus University of Thrace (LL.B.) and holds an LL.M. Degree in maritime law from the University of Southampton (UK). He also holds an Erasmus Scholarship Diploma in English Law from the University of Essex (UK).
His focus is mainly on shipping law, transportation & logistics law, and commercial law. He has been involved in many investment and/or new projects in transport & logistics in Greece and has also participated in legislative committees of shipping and transport bodies with the respective Ministries for major issues.
He advises and represents domestic and international shipping, transport, forwarding, multimodal transport operators and logistics companies, participating in some as BoD member, Chambers, Associations, Unions and Organisations.
George has participated and spoke in numerous domestic and international conferences on freight transport and logistics, in several European programmes and he also writes in journals and columns of this sector.
He is a member of the Hellenic Logistics Association (EEL), Piraeus Propeller Club and AHEPA Maritime “St’ Nicholas”.
