President of Emergency Center of Emergency Care (EKAB). President of Hellenic Society of Emergency Medicine (HeSEM). Professor of Health Policy – Emergency Health Care. Holder of a Doctorate in Medicine from the University of Athens and a Master’s degree in Health Services Administration, He was Director of the Emergency Department at the Hippocrates Hospital of Athens. He has a rich research and writing career. He participated in National Committees of the Ministry of Health as a special expert, as he has prepared the study for the for the Organization and Operation of Emergency Departments, based on which the country’s Emergency Departments are currently being modernized, as well as the Study for the Reorganization of Emergency Health Care in Greece.
During the pandemic, he served in the Strategic Planning Office of the First Regional health administration of Attica. He has received several scientific distinctions and awards for his scientific and research work, the most important of which is the award of an Honorable Mention by UNESCO.
