Georgios Papazisis is a Professor of Clinical Pharmacology at the Laboratory of Clinical Pharmacology, School of Medicine, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, and Medical Director of the Clinical Research Unit of AUTH Medical School at Papageorgiou General Hospital, Thessaloniki.
His research interests focus on clinical trials of medicines, vaccines, and medical devices, as well as pharmacoepidemiology and pharmacovigilance. He serves as the AUTH Administrator for the global clinical trials registry ClinicalTrials.gov and coordinates the Pragmatic Trials Group within the European Network of Centres for Pharmacoepidemiology and Pharmacovigilance (ENCePP), coordinated by the European Medicines Agency (EMA).
He is also an Expert and Clinical Assessor at the EMA and the Greek Delegate in the Pharmacology Section of the UEMS (European Union of Medical Specialists). Since 2025, he has been a Board Member of the Hellenic National Medicines Agency (EOF).
His published work includes over 120 PubMed-indexed publications, more than 3,900 citations, and an h-index of 34.
