Chief Risk Control Officer
He holds a BSc from the Department of Statistics of the Athens University of Economics and Business and an MSc in Operational Research and Management Science from the University of Edinburgh. He is also an INSEAD alumni, where he gained expertise in Global Management. Moreover, he holds relevant certifications in Commercial Credit (Moody’s Analytics) and in Operational Risk (Professional Risk Managers’ International Association – PRMIA). He commenced his career in the consulting sector (Financial Services) and since 2002 he has been employed in Alpha Bank, serving in various Risk Management areas. Since February 2023 he has served as Chief Risk Control Officer, supervising the management and monitoring of all financial and non-financial risks of the Group. In the course of his career, he has served as Chair and Member of the Boards of Directors of Group Companies both in Greece and abroad. To date, he has been a member of the Greek branch of the PRMIA, Chair of the Audit Committee of the Bank Information Systems S.A. (Tiresias) and member of its Board of Directors.
