
Ioannis A. Daglis
Professor of Space Physics, University of Athens
Ioannis A. Daglis is Professor of Space Physics at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens; Full Member of the International Academy of Astronautics; National Delegate of Greece to IAGA, SCOSTEP, and the Science Programme Committee of ESA; former Director of NOA/IAASARS; and the first President of the Hellenic Space Center, the Greek space agency, from 2020 to 2025. Past affiliations include the Max Planck Institute for Solar System Research in Germany and Nagoya University in Japan.
He has contributed to 6 NASA missions and 4 ESA missions. He served as a Member of ESA’s advisory Solar System Working Group (2005-2010); as the National Delegate of Greece at the Programme Committee of thematic priority “Space” of FP7 of the European Commission; as scientific advisor, panel member, technical expert or evaluator for NASA, NSF, European Commission, and national funding agencies of many countries (such as Helmholtz Association, Academy of Finland, Research Council of Norway, Swiss National Science Foundation, etc).
