Ioannis Alexakis

Mr. Ioannis Alexakis (LLB, LLM, ISO 2700LA, CISM) is General Director for Strategic Planning in the National Cybersecurity Authority of the Ministry of Digital Governance of Greece (NCSA/MDG). He has extensive experience in applied strategic management in the area of critical infrastructure protection and cybersecurity. He specializes in strategic and regulatory priorities in the cybersecurity domain at national and EU level, as well as the monitoring and implementation of emblematic actions of NCSA and nation-wide cybersecurity projects. Inter alia, he actively engages in EU policy formation and implementation, representing Greece in the main cybersecurity policy-making EU bodies and fora. He has a strong interest in cybersecurity technologies, Information Security Management System implementation and privacy protection in cyberspace, having relevant professional certifications, academic background, and work experience.
