Ioannis Tsimaris
Urologist, Member of the Hellenic Parliament for the Constituency of Ioannina, Head of the Parliamentary Health Sector, and Deputy Secretary of the Parliamentary Group of PASOK – KINAL
Ioannis Tsimaris is a Member of the Hellenic Parliament for the Constituency of Ioannina, Head of the Parliamentary Health Sector, and Deputy Secretary of the Parliamentary Group of PASOK – KINAL.
He graduated from the School of Medicine at the University of Ioannina and specialized in Urology. He holds a PhD in Medicine from the same institution.
From 2005 to 2023, he practiced as a Consultant Urological Surgeon in the Department of Urology at the “G. Hatzikosta” General Hospital of Ioannina, where he also served as Director of the Department for four years (2019–2023).
He is an active member of both the Hellenic Urological Association (HUA) and the European Association of Urology (EAU).
He currently serves as a member of the following Parliamentary Committees:
- Standing Committee on Public Administration, Public Order and Justice
- Standing Committee on Social Affairs
- Special Permanent Committee on the Monitoring of the Social Security System
- Special Permanent Committee on Greeks Abroad
