John Kyriopoulos
Professor Emeritus of Health Economics, Department of Health Economics, National School of Public Health
John Kyriopoulos is Professor Emeritus of Health Economics. He has served long terms as both Dean, and Director of the Postgraduate Program in Health Services Administration at the National School of Public Health (NSPH). He has received many awards from international organizations and universities. His research interests focus on the Economics of Health, Health Policy, Social Policy and Insurance and History of Public Health. His work has been widely presented in national and international conferences, and has published extensively in scientific and scholarly publications in the field of health economics and health policy. He has published over 370 articles in Greek and foreign scientific journals; he is the author of 100 books and has contributed to over 190 collective scientific editions.
Professor Kyriopoulos is member of many international health organizations, including the European Health Care Management Association (EHMA), the Association of Schools of Public Health in European Region (ASPHER) and the International Association of Health Economics.
He has been President of the Federation for International Cooperation of Health Services and Systems Research Centers (FICOSSER), Founder & Honorary President of the Hellenic Society for Health Services Administration, the Hellenic Association of Pharmacoeconomics and the Hellenic Society of Health Economics & Policy. He is also the President of the Institute for Health Economics.
