John Livanas
CEO, State Super (SAS Trustee Corporation)
John Livanas is the CEO of a A$44bn Australian Pension Fund. He is a Director of the Australian Council of Superannuation Investors, a member of the Sydney University Endowment Fund Investment Committee, and chair of a number of technology and property ventures. State Super is a Top 150 global fund and in the top 10 in Australia by AUM. Over his career, John has served as CEO of another Australian pension fund, was the inaugural CIO of the precursor of the GEPF of South Africa. He has also held senior executive roles in consulting and industry at organizations including Deloitte, Kimberly Clark, McCann Erickson (Europe), Rothmans (Australia), and Unified Telecom, including the $15bn unlisted property trusts ISPT. He holds an MBA and BSc (Electronic Engineering), a post graduate Diploma in Finance and Investments and a GAICD from the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
