As the Business Development Director of Ecliptic Defence and Space, Maria Konstantinou leads strategy and advanced technology programs in space, defence and dual-use sectors, coordinating multiple ESA-funded space hardware projects and EDF defence and spacebased defence hardware initiatives. In her role, she contributes to shaping the company’s strategic direction within the RF and Microwave domain, positioning Ecliptic’s offerings in alignment with European strategic roadmaps and priorities, while guiding technological investments according to market needs and European programme objectives. As President of CSIA, Maria promotes collaboration across startups, research organizations and industry partners between Cyprus, Greece and other European countries, emphasizing that small countries can extend their geographical and technological reach when working together in high impact technology sectors. She is committed to encouraging trusted, strategic partnerships that align national capabilities with European space and defence priorities. Through CSIA, she actively supports the advancement of Cyprus’ space ecosystem and contributes to strengthening the country’s new status as an ESA Associate Member, facilitating industry engagement, capability development and closer integration of Cypriot stakeholders within the European space community.
