Michael P. Haralabidis
Risk Management Advisor
Seasoned senior executive with more than 32 years of experience, having held senior executive and nonexecutive Board positions in commercial and supranational financial institutions, as well as in a credit rating agency in Greece and Luxembourg. He served as Group Chief Risk Officer (CRO) of the Growthfund (Sep. 2025–Feb. 2026) and of the Hellenic Financial Stability Fund (2011–2024). Previously, he was Group CRO of Piraeus Bank (2008–2011) and also worked in the Group Risk Management Division of the National Bank of Greece as Senior Advisor (1997–2003) and Deputy Director (2003–2008).
From 2000 to 2005, he served as a member and Chairman of the European Investment Bank’s Audit Committee and the European Investment Fund’s Audit Board in Luxembourg. He also served as an independent nonexecutive member of the Board of Directors of ICAP CRIF Ratings S.A. (2023–2025). Earlier in his career, he worked in the Economic Research Division of the Bank of Greece (1995–1997), while he began his banking career at Ionian Bank of Greece in 1993.
