Alternate Minister of Health
Dr. Mina Gaga MD, PhD, graduated from Medical School of Athens University, trained in Respiratory Medicine and specialized further in Allergy and Clinical Immunology at Imperial College and the Royal Brompton Hospital, London. She has served as Assistant Professor at Athens University and Director of the 7th Respiratory Medicine Dept. and Asthma Centre at Athens Chest Hospital as well as Medical Director of the Hospital with a dual clinical and educational role. She, moreover, has an important international role, has served as Secretary General and President of the European Respiratory Society, Secretary of the European Board of Accreditation in Pneumology (EBAP) and advisor to the WHO. She has been actively involved as Principal Investigator in multiple clinical trials and has been active internationally in guideline development for several asthma and lung cancer screening. She has published extensively in these research areas. As of 31st of August 2021, she is Alternate Minister of Health.
